In April 2025, the Senate of Moldova State University (MSU) approved the Institutional Regulation on the Organization and Implementation of Distance Learning, developed based on the national legal framework adopted by the Government and aligned with international academic best practices. This regulation clearly defines the specific internal requirements and procedures for implementing distance learning formats at MSU.

To support the uniform and effective application of this regulation, a series of comprehensive information campaigns were launched shortly afterward, targeting all MSU faculties. The aim was to familiarize deans, academic staff, and administrative personnel with:

  • the strategic importance of distance learning,
  • the specific requirements outlined in the regulation (course format, assessment, teacher-student interaction, tutoring, transparency, and accessibility of materials),
  • the concrete steps necessary for the practical implementation of the new standards within the teaching process.

Presentation sessions and direct consultation were offered to each faculty, facilitating the translation of regulatory provisions into practical pedagogical and digital tools.

The information campaign at MSU was carried out in parallel with professional development activities, during which:

  • European expertise on effective distance learning models was presented,
  • the use of appropriate digital platforms was promoted,
  • best practices in synchronous/asynchronous interaction and tutoring were discussed,
  • the adoption of modern evaluation methods and continuous feedback was encouraged.

The Erasmus+ DEFEP project contributes significantly to enhancing MSU’s institutional capacity to deliver high-quality distance education—focused on student needs and aligned with current educational standards.

The approval of the Institutional Regulation by the MSU Senate confirms the university’s commitment to advancing towards inclusive and effective digital education. The campaign conducted across all faculties represents a key step in transforming this legal framework into a functional and applicable educational reality.
