On June 10, 2025, the team of the Erasmus+ DEFEP project – Developing Digital and Entrepreneurial Skills for European Teachers, implemented by Moldova State University (MSU), actively participated in the large-scale event “Erasmus+ and STEAM Without Borders”, held in Chișinău and organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova.
The event brought together innovative projects from across the country that contribute to transforming education through digitalization, entrepreneurship, and STEAM approaches (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). During the exhibition, the MSU team presented the main results of the DEFEP project, which is currently in its second year of implementation. The project aims to develop the digital and entrepreneurial competencies of university teaching staff in response to the challenges of modern education.
Participation in this event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the activities carried out within the project, to engage with other educational stakeholders, and to build connections for future partnerships.
The event gained particular importance due to the presence of Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, who visited the exhibition stands of Erasmus+ projects in Moldova. This high-level visit reaffirmed the essential role of education and research in societal development and emphasized the importance of the Erasmus+ programme in supporting the transformation of educational systems in partner countries.
The participation of the MSU team in this event highlights the university’s commitment to promoting innovation and excellence in education through relevant and impactful projects like DEFEP.
